Good Samaritan Fund

An Act of Giving

Established in 1995, the Good Samaritan Fund is designed to help members of Lakewood Presbyterian Church be active missionaries in the local community and beyond, empowering individuals to look outward and become Good Samaritans with the help of the church’s resources.

Grant applications can be submitted by a member of Lakewood Presbyterian Church or a recognized LPC group or ministry for projects such as

  • Seed money for new programs and ministries ,
  • Donations to support new mission partners, or
  • Other third-party outreach initiatives.

Applications can be submitted on behalf of organizations not previously affiliated with LPC.

Grants can be awarded to the same program or mission in up to two consecutive years; however, grants are awarded annually, so a separate application must be completed for each year. Since its inception in 1995, the fund has awarded over $328,000 to more than 60 different groups or projects across Lakewood and around the world.
