Adult Membership Classes

Twice a year (fall and spring) the pastor holds a series of classes for individuals interested in exploring membership in LPC. These classes are held on 3 consecutive Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. and culminate with a meeting with the LPC Session in which individuals are received into membership. This is followed by presentation of the new members to the congregation in a worship service and a welcoming Coffee Hour reception following.

Adult GatheringAdult Bible Study

The adult Bible Study meets Sunday mornings in the Parker Conference Room at 9:00 a.m. the group is lay led using the curriculum, “Seasons in the Spirit”. Seasons in the Spirit is a multi-denominational curriculum designed and approved by the UCC, UMC, PCUSA, and other mainline denominations.

Special Topics

LPC offers a wide variety of adult education programs. We have offered 17 different classes in the last three years on topics ranging from the very serious,  End of Life Issues, to the light hearted, The Theology of Mayberry. Classes are offered on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Classes are generally lay led.

Small Groups

Any member or friend of LPC may form a small group to explore any topic which interests them. These groups come into being and conclude based on a specific topic or interest of a small group of individuals. The professional staff of LPC is available to assist with resources, however, small  groups are lay led. All groups should register with the church office to assure room reservations and notice in the monthly newsletter and weekly bulletins. Some groups meet outside the church building. Small groups have included, book studies, scrapbooking, dinner club, and Yoga.
