John Brown was a militant American abolitionist who led a raid in 1859 on the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia (now in West Virginia) in order to spark a slave rebellion. It made him a martyr to the antislavery cause, and he was instrumental in heightening sectional animosities that led to the American Civil War (1861–65). This original radio play tells the story while engaging the audience in song, dance, and a troupe of actors that will educate and excite and leave you wanting to know more.
