Rev. Dr. Steve Gorman, Parish Associate, will lead the adult faith formation class entitled “Jesus Left: Now What?” on March 15, 22 and 29 at 11:20 a.m. in the Chapel. With the resurrection and ascension of Jesus, His first (and soon, additional non-Jewish) followers truly began an amazing journey of faith. On March 15, this Bible study is going to look at the ways that the supremacy of Christ, the coming of the Holy Spirit, our justification by faith and the call to witness shaped our forebears. It continues to shape us.

On March 22, we will focus on personal morality and behavior: how am I to live as a follower? Will the people around me sense anything is different? Finally, on March 29, we’ll turn to the fellowship of believers (the Church) and what was central to the formation and unity-of-the-community. How will we live together? Who is welcome to join with us? What will we do?

As Easter people (waiting now, for our Lord’s return) we continue to grapple with these “first concerns” of those first believers. What do the scriptures reveal about God’s guidance and their decisions? Bible passages will be provided. Bring your coffee, questions and thinking caps.
