Come down to Lawther Hall after worship on June 7 to see Evicting the American Dream, a film about the trauma of eviction and its frequent effect of perpetuating poverty — as well as ways we might respond.
MOJ (Mission, Outreach and Justice Ministry) plans a light lunch followed by a special showing and discussion of this powerful documentary from Counter Stories Productions, a story ministry of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. For school-age children, we plan an age-appropriate program after lunch, and childcare will be provided for littler ones.
Why? Eradicating systemic poverty is one focus of LPC’s and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s Matthew 25 movement.
Please join us June 7! You can preview a clip from Evicting the American Dream at the following link: https://pcusa.org/resource/preview-clip-documentary-evicting-american-dream.v
